AutoWallis doubles down on the truck market

AutoWallis continues to strengthen its presence on the Czech market by opening its first truck sales point and repair shop in the Czech Republic. The 3,400 square meter Mercedes-Benz Trucks unit located in the country’s southern region sells and repairs tractor trailers and has strategic importance for the Group. The investment project was handed over after AutoWallis also acquired a new activity by purchasing the MILAN KRÁL GROUP last year: it entered the truck market.
The AutoWallis Group has opened its first Mercedes-Benz Trucks sales point and repair shop, further bolstering its presence on the Czech market. The truck dealership and 6-bay repair shop opened in Hůry, part of the České Budějovice agglomeration in the southern part of the Czech Republic, and is housed in a 3,400 square meter building complex situated on a 3.1-hectare plot. As one of the most modern tractor trailer centers in the region, the facilities officially start operations on May 2 and offer first-class repair services, comfortable parking specifically designed for large trucks, and extra services to guarantee the comfort of drivers. The investment project was completed earlier than originally planned, allowing it to contribute to the AutoWallis Group’s results starting from May while also offering additional possibilities for expansion.
The development took place after AutoWallis carried out the largest acquisition in its history: at the end of 2024, it obtained 100% of the Czech market-based MILAN KRÁL GROUP to expand its portfolio with new activities (sales and servicing of Mercedes-Benz Trucks). Additionally, AutoWallis’s Czech acquisition also continues to bolster its BMW retail position on the Czech market (increasing its market share from 13 to 20%). At its headquarters in Ceské Budejovice, located in the southern Czech Republic, the MILAN KRÁL GROUP deals with the sales and repairs of four brands (BMW, Mercedes, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Ford), the factory-authorized repairs of Opel vehicles, and its own brand of used vehicles (auto.pro.Tebe), in addition to operating its own body shop and paint facilities. MILAN KRÁL GROUP’s revenue increased by almost 7% to reach CZK 2.9 billion in 2024.
AutoWallis CEO Gábor Ormosy explained that the acquisition of the MILAN KRÁL GROUP is well aligned with AutoWallis’s strategic targets updated last spring, under which the Group, after entering the Czech retail market in the summer of 2024, expanded its presence in the country, diversified its activities, and increased revenue generated abroad, which already makes up the majority of the Group’s revenue. Gábor Ormosy also said that they expect to see double-digit growth figures on the Czech truck sales market in 2025.
