AutoWallis Group continues to strengthen its presence in Budapest

The AutoWallis Group has opened its first Renault and Dacia dealership in the Hungarian capital. The showroom and service center in Ferencváros, operated in partnership with the Portuguese Salvador Caetano Group, will support the continued growth of the major car sales and mobility service provider in the Central and Eastern European region. In parallel with its opening, the AutoWallis dealership is also selling 200 new Renault Clio cars to AutoWallis-owned wigo carsharing, taking advantage of the unique synergies provided by the Group.

Present in 16 countries, the AutoWallis Group continues to strengthen its presence in the Hungarian automotive retail sector after opening its first Renault and Dacia dealership in Budapest with its Portuguese partner Salvador Caetano Group. Opened under the names Renault AutoWallis and Dacia AutoWallis, the dealership is located in one of the busiest districts of the Hungarian capital, Könyves Kálmán körút in Ferencváros. In addition to the showrooms, the more than 2,000 square meters commercial and service center also houses a 15-stall workshop. The move is in line with the strategic objective of AutoWallis, which aims to continue growing not only through organic expansion and acquisitions, but also via business development, while leveraging unique synergy opportunities within the Group. As an example, one of the first fleet sales of the newly opened dealership is the 200 new Renault Clio cars supplied to wigo carsharing, owned by the AutoWallis Group. The vehicles purchased for the wigo fleet have been chosen by the car-sharing provider to ensure the highest customer experience and respond to user needs, because the new Clio models embody everything that wigo customers expect from a small city car. The Clios with wigo logos will be available in Budapest from the end of October in the fleet of wigo carsharing.

Péter Antal, Retail Business Unit Director of AutoWallis, said that the opening of the new dealership is an important milestone in the Group's operations in Hungary, as the new car market in Budapest has a higher growth potential for Dacia and Renault models compared to the rural market, with about half of these vehicles sold in the capital and fleet purchases typically decided here as well. The sale to a freehold car-sharing company demonstrates the success of AutoWallis' objective to introduce the wigo brand last year with the aim to facilitate a number of synergies between the members of the group. As a result, collaboration between AutoWallis' business units will further improve the company's efficiency.
